We Manage Jobs (WMJobs) is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join our team, working with vulnerable children in foster care. As a Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting these children to maintain positive relationships with their birth parents.

Responsibilities include:

  • Facilitating therapeutic family time between children and their parents or other family members.
  • Coordinating arrangements for family time as directed by court orders.
  • Transporting children and young people to attend family time sessions.
  • Providing parenting support and guidance during family time.
  • Supporting the completion of accurate documentation, reports, and records related to children, families, and carers.
  • Being available outside traditional working hours to provide support when needed.

We offer a competitive salary of £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits.

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A minimum NVQ 3 in working with children and families or equivalent experience.
  • Experience of direct work with children, families, and carers in a statutory or voluntary agency.
  • Proficiency in using IT, including Microsoft packages.
  • An understanding of child development and the impact of stress and trauma.
  • A strong ability to communicate effectively with children, families, and carers.
  • A flexible approach to meet the needs of the service.
