About this role:
Job OverviewAs a Customer Experience Officer - Train Station, you will play a vital role in ensuring our passengers have an enjoyable journey experience.
Key responsibilities:
- Providing exceptional customer service
- Assisting in day-to-day operations of ticket barriers
- Ensuring customer security and responding to enquiries
- Issuing tickets
- Addressing customer needs during service disruptions
You'll need to be:
- Able to deliver exceptional customer service
- A self-starter with a can-do attitude
- Confident when making decisions
- Able to remain calm in crisis situations
Requirements:
- Ability to work as part of a team or independently
- Evidence of numerical ability
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
About the location:
This role is based in Newton Abbot, which is the main station for the South Devon Area. It has good transport links to the surrounding area.
Working pattern:
This part-time role requires shift working, including weekends and bank holidays, covering 7 days a week on a rolling roster pattern. The earliest start is at 0550, and the latest finish is at 2230. This role is for 17.5 hours per week.
Additional information:
Applicants successfully shortlisted will be invited to a competency-based interview. Interviews will take place in the coming weeks. The successful candidate will be required to meet medical standards for this role, together with a drugs and alcohol screen. A Basic DBS is also required.
Training and development:
All new recruits will receive comprehensive training, which will take place in our Training Centre in Swindon. Full travel expenses will be covered, and accommodation will be provided.
Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of £19,500 per annum, plus benefits.
