Complex Needs Support Worker

Job Overview
Remedy Education is seeking an experienced Support Worker to join our team in a specialist SEN school. The successful candidate will support pupils aged 11 to 19 with complex needs and disabilities.
Responsibilities
The role involves supporting the class teacher as part of a team of teaching assistants, providing physical support, helping with communication and interpersonal skills, and delivering sensory curriculum based learning activities.
Requirements
- At least 2 years experience working with children with disabilities or SEN
- Happy to carry out personal care including changing and hoists
- Able to hold student attention and focus with excellent communication skills
- Promote happiness, self-reliance and encourage positive interactions
