Consultant Psychiatrist for Adult Community Mental Health Team

The role is based within our Adult Community Mental Health team, where we strive to provide exceptional care to our patients. We are seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team, who will work closely with colleagues to deliver high-quality patient care.

Person Specification Qualifications
  • M.B. Ch.B or equivalent medical qualification.
  • A higher degree in medical education, clinical research, or management.
  • Good standing with the GMC regarding warnings and conditions on practice.
Experience
  • Senior Non-Consultant or Consultant level experience in Adult Psychiatry within an Inpatient and/or Community setting.
  • Application of evidence-based practice and interest in clinical and policy developments for this care group.
  • Collaboration with primary care services.
  • Excellent clinical skills using a bio-psycho-social perspective and wide medical knowledge.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
Academic Skills & Lifelong Learning
  • Ability to deliver undergraduate or postgraduate teaching and training.
  • Participation in continuous professional development.
  • Active participation in clinical audit and quality improvement.
  • Ability to plan and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and training relevant to this position.
  • Reflection on the purpose of CPD undertaken.
  • Experience in clinical research and/or service evaluation.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this role is between £100,000 and £140,000 per annum, depending on experience. This includes a comprehensive benefits package, including pension scheme, annual leave, and ongoing professional development opportunities.
