About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing medical expertise and leadership to our Eating Disorders Service, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care to patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide medical leadership and advice to the team
  • Assess, manage, and deliver care to patients with eating disorders
  • Supervise the team in charge of medical monitoring and management of high-risk patients
  • Contribute to the development of appropriate pathways in and out of acute care settings for ED patients
  • Assess and manage risk, including vulnerability, suicide risk, and risks to health and safety
Requirements
  • Registration with the General Medical Council and on the Specialist Register
  • CCT, CESR, or within 6 months of expected CCT date
  • Meets Royal College of Psychiatrists criteria for appointment to the post of Consultant
