About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our team at Oak Springs Care Home in Wavertree. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to residents, including bathing, dressing, and toileting
  • Assist with daily activities, such as eating, drinking, and mobility
  • Offer emotional support and companionship to residents, promoting their well-being and quality of life
  • Support residents to maintain their independence and engage in activities that promote their physical and mental health
  • Contribute to the maintenance of a clean and safe environment, adhering to health and safety standards
  • Assist with medication administration, as required
  • Participate in staff supervision, appraisals, and record-keeping, as directed by the Home Manager

Requirements
  • Supervisory or leadership experience in a residential or nursing home setting
  • A positive outlook and warm personality, with excellent communication skills
  • A Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care, or willingness to work towards
  • Confidence in record-keeping and the use of various technologies
  • Able to remain calm and guide colleagues under pressure
  • Flexibility to work shift patterns, as required by the needs of our residents
