Job Description

**Accounts Payable Manager**

Woodland Group Ltd. is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to join our team at our Head Office. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the Accounts Payable function, ensuring all accounts payable tasks are completed in line with month end deadlines, and reviewing the purchase ledger on a monthly basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage the Accounts Payable function;
  • Resolve all invoice and payment queries with the Accounts Payable department, working with both internal and external stakeholders;
  • Manage the AP team's performance appraisals, individual development, and absence management;
  • Ensure all accounts payable tasks are completed in line with month end deadlines;
  • Review the purchase ledger on a monthly basis ensuring allocations have been completed correctly and investigating any balance queries;
  • Drive banking/payment and system improvement to ensure team efficiency;
  • Generate daily, weekly ad hoc payment runs as necessary;
  • Monitor Accounts Payable mailbox to ensure requests are dealt with in a timely manner;
  • Work with the Finance team to continually improve processes and business performance;
  • Understand and adhere to all Woodland Group Ltd. policies and procedures relevant to the role.

Requirements:

  • You have previous experience as an Accounts Payable Manager, ideally within a high transaction environment;
  • You have experience in successful implementation of new systems and processes;
  • You have advanced MS Excel skills;
  • You have the natural ability and enjoy building and maintaining strong working relationships;
  • You excel in a team environment as well as being able to work autonomously when required;
  • You are flexible, adaptable, and open-minded and respond well to the ever-changing priorities and challenges while remaining calm and focused on getting the job done;
  • You actively seek ways to enhance your knowledge and improve your performance;
