Senior Sales Engineer

Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Sales Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for partnering with our enterprise and mid-market accounts to uncover their current and future states, and to position Allego's solutions to meet their needs. You will develop compelling presentations and demos to illustrate Allego's business value to customers at all levels, and act as the customer's main technical point of contact and lead the sale to a technical close.
Key Responsibilities- Becoming a master user and expert of Allego's sales learning platform
- Participating in sales calls and meetings both virtually and at client sites
- Creating compelling presentations and collateral that demonstrate our solutions and the value proposition they provide against a customer's required objectives
- Delivering product demonstrations, building proof-of-concepts and custom product environments to showcase the product
- Taking ownership of continuous improvement and refinement of discovery process, demo scripts, and value add use cases
- Delivering demonstrations with a methodological and meticulous approach and flawless execution
- Assisting with high-level requirements gathering and RFI/RFP process
- Articulating our value proposition to senior executives in marketing, sales and IT
- Acting as technical lead for IT & information security evaluations of Allego's cloud infrastructure and security practices
- Keeping current with technology trends and understanding the competitive landscape
- Serving as an internal expert on Allego's solutions, technology, market, and customers
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to inform the company's product direction, marketing strategy, etc.
The ideal candidate will have:
- 5+ years in a fast-paced, SaaS high-tech Sales Engineer/Solutions Consultant (Presales) role
- Ability to set and manage expectations, resources and time
- Engaging, prescriptive and persuasive communication style
- Previous exposure to basic web development and cloud security concepts
- Experience presenting and delivering technical pitches
- Ability to work well and contribute independently as well as in a team environment
- Passion for technology and a love for working in a fast-paced start-up environment
- Willingness to travel domestic, up to 10% and support a customer base across multiple time zones
- Industry knowledge of our key markets (financial services, healthcare, technology, insurance)
- Experience selling revenue enablement, knowledge management, sales engagement, coaching, or learning technologies
