Job Summary

We're seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our sales organization, you'll partner with our enterprise and mid-market accounts to uncover customer needs and position Allego's solutions effectively. Your expertise will help drive business and revenue growth, accelerate customer expansion, and contribute to Allego's success.

Responsibilities
  • Develop a deep understanding of Allego's sales learning platform and serve as a knowledge expert.
  • Participate in sales calls and meetings, both virtually and in-person, to provide technical guidance and support.
  • Create compelling presentations and collateral that demonstrate our solutions and value proposition.
  • Deliver product demonstrations, build proof-of-concepts, and custom product environments to showcase our product.
  • Take ownership of continuous improvement and refinement of our discovery process, demo scripts, and value-add use cases.
  • Deliver demonstrations with a methodical and meticulous approach, ensuring flawless execution.
  • Assist with high-level requirements gathering and RFI/RFP processes.
  • Articulate our value proposition to senior executives in marketing, sales, and IT.
  • Act as the technical lead for IT & information security evaluations of Allego's cloud infrastructure and security practices.
  • Stay current with technology trends and understand the competitive landscape.
  • Serve as an internal expert on Allego's solutions, technology, market, and customers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to inform our product direction, marketing strategy, and more.
Requirements

We're looking for a candidate with 5+ years of experience in a fast-paced, SaaS high-tech Sales Engineer/Solutions Consultant (Presales) role. You'll need to possess strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, excellent presentation skills, and the ability to function effectively in a fast-paced organization. Previous exposure to basic web development and cloud security concepts is a plus.

  • 5+ years of experience in a fast-paced, SaaS high-tech Sales Engineer/Solutions Consultant (Presales) role.
  • Ability to set and manage expectations, resources, and time.
  • Engaging, prescriptive, and persuasive communication style.
  • Previous exposure to basic web development and cloud security concepts.
  • Experience presenting and delivering technical pitches.
  • Ability to work well and contribute independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Passion for technology and a love for working in a fast-paced start-up environment.
  • Willingness to travel domestically, up to 10%, and support a customer base across multiple time zones.
