Job SummaryWe're seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to partner with our enterprise and mid-market accounts. As a trusted advisor, you'll work with Sales to uncover customer needs and illustrate Allego's business value through compelling presentations and demos. You'll gain an understanding of how Allego fits into a customer's technology stack and lead the sale to a technical close.
Responsibilities- Develop expertise in Allego's sales learning platform and act as a knowledge expert.
- Participate in sales calls and meetings, both virtually and at client sites.
- Create engaging presentations and collateral that demonstrate our solutions and value proposition.
- Deliver product demonstrations, build proof-of-concepts, and custom product environments to showcase the product.
- Take ownership of continuous improvement and refinement of the discovery process, demo scripts, and value-add use cases.
- Deliver demonstrations with a methodical and meticulous approach and flawless execution.
- Assist with high-level requirements gathering and RFI/RFP process.
- Articulate our value proposition to senior executives in marketing, sales, and IT.
- Act as technical lead for IT & information security evaluations of Allego's cloud infrastructure and security practices.
- Stay current with technology trends and understand the competitive landscape.
- Serve as an internal expert on Allego's solutions, technology, market, and customers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to inform the company's product direction, marketing strategy, etc.
We're looking for candidates with strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, excellent presentation skills, and the ability to function effectively in a fast-paced organization. The ideal candidate will have:
- 5+ years in a fast-paced, SaaS high-tech Sales Engineer/Solutions Consultant (Presales) role.
- Ability to set and manage expectations, resources, and time.
- Engaging, prescriptive, and persuasive communication style.
- Previous exposure to basic web development and cloud security concepts.
- Experience presenting and delivering technical pitches.
- Ability to work well and contribute independently as well as in a team environment.
- Passion for technology and a love for working in a fast-paced start-up environment.
- Willingness to travel domestically, up to 10%, and support a customer base across multiple time zones.
