Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate graduate to join our team as a SEMH Teaching Assistant. As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will provide support to class teachers within the classroom, assisting children with SEND/SEMH needs 1:1 and in small groups. You will work closely with two children who are non-verbal, supporting pupils in and out of lessons, and monitoring and recording interventions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to class teachers within the classroom
  • Assist children with SEND/SEMH needs 1:1 and in small groups
  • Work closely with two children who are non-verbal
  • Support pupils in and out of lessons
  • Monitor and record interventions

Requirements:

  • Hardworking graduate with strong academics and a passion for learning
  • Previous experience with children and SEN/SEMH needs
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience working with non-verbal children
  • Previous experience working 1:1
  • Someone resilient and able to overcome challenges
