About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Behaviour Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Specialist SEMH School. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support pupils in developing their day-to-day and academic skills, as well as their social and emotional needs.
  • Provide interventions and cover classes across the school, working closely with teachers to achieve learning outcomes.
  • Take responsibility for agreed learning activities, both in and out of school, under the supervision of teachers.
  • Work with a team of therapists and outreach workers to provide a comprehensive support programme for pupils.
Requirements
  • Previous experience supporting pupils with SEMH or complex emotional and behavioural needs.
  • Restraint training, such as PRICE or de-escalation training, is desirable but not essential.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain high standards of behaviour and safety.
