We are seeking an experienced Behaviour Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Specialist SEMH School. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
Key Responsibilities- Support pupils in developing their day-to-day and academic skills, as well as their social and emotional needs.
- Provide interventions and cover classes across the school, working closely with teachers to achieve learning outcomes.
- Take responsibility for agreed learning activities, both in and out of school, under the supervision of teachers.
- Work with a team of therapists and outreach workers to provide a comprehensive support programme for pupils.
- Previous experience supporting pupils with SEMH or complex emotional and behavioural needs.
- Restraint training, such as PRICE or de-escalation training, is desirable but not essential.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain high standards of behaviour and safety.
The school is a small, independent institution that specialises in providing schooling for children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
