About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Support Worker to join our team at a leading Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in North West London.

The successful candidate will work on a 1:1 basis with a student, providing emotional support and guidance to help them overcome their challenges.

This is an ideal opportunity for a Learning Support Assistant looking to transition into a role that focuses on Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH), Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), and ADHD.

About the School

The school provides a specialist provision for students with an Educational Health Care Plan (ECHP), where the primary needs are ASC, ADHD, and SEMH difficulties.

The school aims to create a welcoming and supportive atmosphere for pupils and families, taking a holistic approach to the child's learning journey.

Students are encouraged to participate in a wide range of sporting events and clubs, as well as other extra-curricular activities that build social and personal skills.

About You

We are looking for a strong, confident, and compassionate individual who is passionate about working with vulnerable youth.

The ideal candidate will have at least 6 months' school-based experience and be flexible and willing to take on all challenges.

As a Support Worker with Protocol Education, you will have the opportunity to work with students with a variety of complex needs and gain valuable experience in a dynamic and supportive environment.

As a Protocol Education Support Worker, you will have access to free online safeguarding and Prevent Duty training, as well as full assistance with DBS checks and the DBS Update Service.
