Job Title: Waking Night Residential Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Waking Night Residential Support Worker to join our team at Barnardo's. As a key member of our Emotional Wellbeing Assessment Home, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to children and young people in our care.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing 24/7 support to our service users, ensuring their physical, emotional, and psychological needs are met. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans, promoting the well-being and independence of our service users.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality care and support to service users, including personal care, medication management, and emotional support.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with service users, their families, and other professionals.
  • Contribute to the upkeep of the home, including cooking, cleaning, and maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
  • Document information accurately and ensure records are kept up to date.
  • Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.
  • Promote, monitor, and maintain a safe environment at all times.
Requirements:
  • Must hold a valid UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
  • Must hold the Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or be willing to successfully achieve this within the required timeframe.
  • Relevant experience working with children and young people in a children's home setting.
  • Flexibility to commit to shift work, including weekends and bank holidays.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
