About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children Residential Support Worker to join our team at SuperCare Residential. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality support to vulnerable children and young people in our care.

Main Responsibilities
  • Direct Work with Young People: Provide individualized support and care to young people, including key working and daily activities.
  • Collaboration and Partnership: Work closely with young people, their families, social workers, and other organizations to ensure comprehensive support and care.
  • Care Planning and Review: Coordinate, monitor, and review care plans for allocated young people, preparing them for transition to adulthood and greater independence.
  • Establishment Maintenance: Take responsibility for the upkeep of the establishment, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for young people.
  • Administrative and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records and perform administrative tasks associated with key working responsibilities.
  • Empowering Young People: Support young people in taking responsibility for their lives, keeping them informed of their circumstances and rights, and involving them in planning their futures.
  • Safeguarding: Respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns and report them effectively.
Household Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Care: Share in practical activities necessary to maintain the household, including caring for the fabric, equipment, and environment.
  • Financial Management: Be accountable for allocated funds and report repairs as necessary.
Personal and Professional Development
  • Role Modeling: Act as a positive role model and guide for young people, setting principles and examples.
  • Professional Growth: Stay up-to-date with good practice, develop skills, knowledge, and experience, and make use of regular professional supervision.
  • Reporting Concerns: Report any malpractice or concerns to a line manager or appropriate person.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Experience and Qualifications: Possess experience working with children/young people in an Ofsted environment, hold a Level 3 CYPW or above (or be working towards a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Child Care), and have an Enhanced DBS Check.
  • Additional Requirements: Ability to drive, be smart and agile in handling daily needs and activities of young people, and be flexible to work shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
