About the Role

The University of Minnesota seeks an Administrative Associate for Student Services to support the daily and strategic operations of the Student Success, Engagement, and Equity (SSEE) area. This role will provide executive-level coordination and student-centered support, acting as the primary point of contact for the SSEE area.

Key Responsibilities

The Administrative Associate for Student Services will be responsible for:

  • Managing and coordinating the daily operations of the SSEE area, including scheduling meetings and events, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Providing administrative support to the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Student Success, Engagement, and Equity, including preparing reports, and coordinating travel arrangements.
  • Coordinating assessment orders, data collection, and assessment, including troubleshooting and resolving issues.
  • Assisting with the preparation of incoming students' records, and coordinating Ucard distribution.
  • Supporting logistics behind mock interviews, and serving on the food committee.
  • Assisting with Canvas Site Content Management, and supporting logistics for room set-up and event preparation.
  • Providing referral support to student services, and guiding students on how to schedule counseling appointments.
  • Supervising and training student employees working in SSEE, including oversight of the Canvas site.
  • Tracking SSEE budgets, and using UMarket and MyWallet to purchase supplies and catering needs.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and at least two years of experience, or a combination of related education and experience totaling six years. The candidate should have experience in Google applications, and a demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and intercultural competencies.
