Job Description for Food Service Coordinator

We are seeking a skilled Food Service Coordinator to join our team at Holroyd Howe. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and serving of meals to students and staff. Your attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our food service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and serving of breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner according to established menus and recipes.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the front-of-house areas, including organizing dishes and utensils.
  • Follow proper food handling and storage procedures to ensure food safety and prevent contamination.
  • Monitor inventory levels of food and supplies and notify management of any shortages or discrepancies.
  • Provide friendly and efficient service to students and staff during mealtimes, addressing any concerns or special dietary needs.
  • Participate in training sessions and meetings related to food service procedures, safety protocols, and customer service standards.

Requirements:

  • Ideally have experience working within education catering.
  • Have good health and safety knowledge.
  • Be flexible with a can-do attitude, customer-focused, and a team player.
  • Have excellent organization skills, attention to detail, and great customer service skills.
  • Be willing to participate in training sessions and meetings to improve skills and knowledge.
