**NHS Mental Health Specialist**

We are seeking an experienced Mental Health Professional for Neurodiverse Individuals to join our team at the NHS. This role offers a unique chance to make a meaningful contribution to the mental health of children and young people with ASC/LD.

About the Role

In this specialist position, you will work closely with the team leader and service lead to develop and implement services and care pathways for children and young people with mental health issues, including Learning Disability/Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC) problems within the THRIVE Framework.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing specialist interventions, advice, consultancy, and supervision to colleagues and external partner agencies.
  • Developing and implementing services and care pathways for children and young people with mental health issues.
  • Ensuring efficient, effective, coordinated, and responsive high-quality services and care are delivered.

We offer a competitive salary of £ **£42,000 - £52,000 per annum**, depending on experience, and a range of benefits.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A core professional qualification in registered nurse, social work, or occupational therapy.
  • A Master's degree or equivalent level of experience.
  • Up-to-date professional registration.
  • Experience in specialist mental health assessments and therapeutic interventions with children and young people.

As a specialist practitioner, you will demonstrate advanced knowledge and skills in working with diverse patient groups, including those with complex needs. You must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and provide case management supervision as required.
