We are currently recruiting an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our partner SEN school in Morpeth.

Job Summary

This role involves supporting children with complex and severe needs, including Autism, cerebral palsy, and challenging behaviours.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working with children with Special Educational Needs in a care or school setting, possessing a calm and sensitive approach.

Responsibilities and Requirements
  1. Supporting children with complex needs in a SEN school setting.
  2. Working collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop individualised plans.
  3. Maintaining a safe and respectful environment for all students.

To be successful in this role, the successful candidate will need:

  • A minimum of 6 months' experience working with children with Special Educational Needs.
  • An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
  • A valid first aid certificate.

In return, we offer a competitive hourly rate of £12.00 - £18.00 per hour, depending on experience, as well as ongoing training and development opportunities.
