Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a welcoming school in Morpeth. As a SEND teaching assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and well-being of students with Special Educational Needs.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have experience in assisting young learners on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, ideally with Level 2 or Level 3 qualifications and/or a minimum of 6 months experience in an education establishment. Team Teach certification is also essential.

You will be responsible for providing individual and group support, helping to prepare learning materials, and ensuring the mental and physical well-being of students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist students with Special Educational Needs in educational settings
  • Support teachers in creating and implementing effective learning plans
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers
  • Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment

About the Salary

We offer a competitive salary of £22,000 - £25,000 per annum, depending on experience.
