The successful candidate will work closely with the Senior Strategic Planning Manager to prepare and implement planning strategies for portfolio sites. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to deliver key development projects and promoting land through Local Plans.

Job Description:

  1. Collaborate with the Senior Strategic Planning Manager to develop and implement planning strategies for portfolio sites
  2. Lead the preparation and submission of planning applications for strategic land sites
  3. Promote land through the Local Plan process and manage site promotion strategies
  4. Coordinate with local authorities, consultants, and landowners to move planning applications forward
  5. Conduct research and provide analysis to support the strategic land planning process

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of planning experience in housing within housebuilding, consultancy, land promotion, or local authority
  • A degree accredited by the RTPI (or equivalent) in planning or a related field within the built environment
  • Strong problem-solving, research, and analytical skills
  • A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a positive attitude
  • Willingness to travel to various sites across the north of England and southern Scotland

Estimated Salary: £50,000 - £70,000 per annum
