Environmental Impact Entrepreneur

London, Greater London, United Kingdom Deep Science Ventures Full time
Drive Environmental Impact

As an Environmental Impact Entrepreneur, you will co-found and scale a company focused on Direct Air Capture (DAC) technology, leveraging partnerships with established leaders to drive cost reduction and scalability. This full-time role, initially remote, transitioning to a hybrid model post-spinout, offers opportunities for professional growth and development within the DSV ecosystem.

You will work closely with the DSV team and the current Founder in Residence for this area, cementing the value proposition of our technology through modelling and prototype development. Additionally, you will help shape a team that collaborates with customers and partners to develop a platform product supercharging their scale-up journey.

The Challenge: Reducing CO2 Emissions

Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR) by DAC is a critical technology space, with many established and emerging process technologies requiring rapid production scale to meet global net-zero emission goals by mid-century. While DAC processes have unique core technology elements, companies driving their development face engineering challenges common across processes, compromising on mature solutions from adjacent sectors. We believe there's an opportunity to leapfrog suppliers and rapidly grow a technology & manufacturing business by building strong partnerships, taking a requirements-led approach, and introducing innovative technology to unmet needs.

In air-contacting sub-processes, particularly air-liquid DAC, collaboration is open, adjacent supply chains lack agility, and an enabling-technology led approach is necessary. We've devised a technology concept addressing a critical challenge in air contacting, reducing operational costs, and widening geographic deployability.

Benefits

  • Up to £250k in investment for the new venture.
  • Guaranteed income of £4,166 per month as a consultancy fee until the company launches.
  • Majority equity stake in the new company for you and your co-founders.
