At Bluetownonline, we are seeking an experienced professional to lead our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) efforts.

We offer a competitive salary of £57,500 per annum.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in monitoring and evaluating social impact and implementing high environmental standards across services and properties.

This role is part of a new strategic phase for the company, and the selected individual will play a crucial role in reporting on our progress against our new strategic goals.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Establish a system and process for monitoring social impact as a provider of housing support and other services to older people.
  • Develop a theory of change and assess measures that will evidence progress and drive continuous improvement.
  • Put in place robust measures for monitoring the social impact of grant-making activities.
  • Devise and develop data collection work to evaluate social and environmental impacts and set Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • In consultation with Senior Leadership Team and colleagues, develop and lead the charity's environmental strategy and identify appropriate net-zero transition priorities.
  • Set policies and standards for the organisation to follow and implement sustainable practices.
  • Collate and present environmental data from across the property portfolio, including income-generation investment properties and operational properties.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, residents, staff, and grantees to promote sustainability and impact initiatives.
  • Lead strategic conversations across the charity to ensure focus on sustainability and impact in all work.
