About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Podiatry Specialist to join our East Cheshire NHS Trust Community Podiatry Service. As a Specialist Podiatrist, you will play a vital role in providing advanced clinical foot services to the local population.

Main Responsibilities

  • Act as a Clinical Specialist in the Podiatry Service, providing expert care to patients with complex foot conditions.
  • Undertake triage, assessment, and treatment of referred patients, utilizing your knowledge of wound care, nail surgery, and biomechanics.
  • Support the development of Podiatrists, Podiatry Assistants, and Podiatry students as a Clinical Educator, sharing your expertise and experience.
  • Collaborate with the Team Managers and Advanced Clinical Specialists to improve service delivery and contribute to service improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • NHS experience and working in the community at Specialist Podiatrist level is essential.
  • Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills are required, as well as a positive attitude to personal and professional development.
  • Ability to work in a variety of settings, including care homes, hospitals, and community clinics.

Working Arrangements

This is a bank-based position, with flexible working hours to accommodate the needs of the service.
