Clinical Podiatry Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Specialist Podiatrist to join our East Cheshire NHS Trust Community Podiatry Service. As a Clinical Specialist, you will be responsible for providing advanced clinical services to patients, including wound care, nail surgery, and biomechanical assessment.
Main Responsibilities
- Undertake triage, assessment, and treatment of referred patients
- Develop and implement specialist services, including wound care and nail surgery
- Support the development of Podiatrists, Podiatry Assistants, and Podiatry students as a Clinical Educator
- Contribute to service improvement initiatives and support the Team Managers and Advanced Clinical Specialists in the day-to-day running of the clinics

Requirements
- NHS experience and working in the community at Specialist Podiatrist level is essential
- Specialist interest in wound care and knowledge of biomechanics is required
- Excellent clinical, communication, and organizational skills are necessary
Working Arrangements
This is a bank-based position, with hours to be agreed upon with the service. The successful candidate will be required to work in a variety of settings, including hospital inpatients, community clinics, health centers, and GP surgeries.
