Technical Sales Professional

Robert Walters is seeking a highly skilled Technical Sales Engineer to join their team in the UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting the company's solutions portfolio to the market, including networking, GPON/XGS-PON, IPTV hospitality headends, IRS, and FIRS optical fibre solutions.
Key Responsibilities:- Promote the company's solutions portfolio to the market, including networking, GPON/XGS-PON, IPTV hospitality headends, IRS, and FIRS optical fibre solutions.
- Sales promotion activities during customer visits to distributors and installers.
- Actively promote and generate new sales leads, including visits to designers, specifiers, main contractors, consultants, and system integrators.
- Promote the company's products and design studios, especially for tenders.
- Regular visits to wholesalers, distributors, and customers, which may require overnight stays, with detailed reports submitted to headquarters.
- Full-day presence at distributors' trade counters to support distributors and their customers on sales.
- Support customers in the field for any first-level technical issues.
- Undertake and do basic-medium project design and quotations for customers, as well as involve the company's headquarters in case of larger scale projects.
- Manage the economic negotiation of the solutions proposition with the customer.
- Retrieve market information regarding the competition, including products and solutions, volumes, price positioning, etc.
- Training and advising customers on how best to use the company's solutions and services.
- Participation in local fairs, events, and road shows with customers and distributors.
- Visits to the company headquarters in Europe for training on new products, solutions, and services.
- Passion for technology and telecommunications, including management and distribution of TV/SAT and IPTV signals through advanced networking architectures.
- Basic knowledge of main routing and switching protocols in LAN, WLAN, and WAN environments.
- Basic knowledge in network security, including firewall, IPS, VPN, and NAC, and networking, including firewall devices, switches, routers, VPN, and AC.
- Knowledge of Microsoft suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of SAP administration system to enter customers' orders when required and check stock.
- Availability to travel and stay overnight if necessary.
- Previous experience in selling technological and data distribution solutions.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
