Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Insights Specialist to join our team at Westmorland and Furness Council. As a key member of our data team, you will play a central role in the development and delivery of effective data products and services that support business intelligence, analytics, and insights across the Council.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage data throughout the data lifecycle in at least one of the fields of data analysis, data engineering, data science, or data architecture.
  • Develop and maintain robust data architectures, ensuring data quality, integrity, and security.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and develop data-driven solutions.
  • Analyze complex data sets to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Design and implement data visualizations to communicate insights effectively.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in data management and analytics.

Requirements

  • Good level of experience in data management and analysis, with a strong understanding of data lifecycle processes.
  • Experience with coding languages such as SQL or Python is desirable.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders to understand business needs and develop data-driven solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a focus on delivering high-quality results.
