Job Title: Executive Chef

Job Summary:

The Kensington, a luxury hotel in London, is seeking an exceptional Executive Chef to lead our culinary team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the kitchen operations, ensuring exceptional food quality, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the running of the kitchen, ensuring an excellent service to guests
  • Prepare budgets and forecasts to maximize profitability
  • Optimize resources to maintain high levels of productivity and performance
  • Track food costs and assist in the development of departmental budgets
  • Use management information to inform proactive business improvement activities
  • Ensure effective cost control through minimization of waste and food allocation techniques
  • Set up control systems to ensure accurate inventory management
  • Work with finance to maximize quality at the best available prices
  • Prepare statistical, performance, and forecast information on a weekly/monthly basis
  • Take responsibility for the preparation of the departmental payroll forecast
  • Be aware of daily arrivals and ensure proper planning to meet guest expectations
  • Work closely with the F&B Manager to ensure consistency of communication
  • Continuously strive to provide food of excellent taste, quality, and presentation
  • Deliver the brand and values during interactions with guests
