Frontline Support Assistant

The Frontline Support Assistant will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support at University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust. This position involves welcoming patients, ensuring accurate patient information, and facilitating effective communication between patients, staff, and external agencies.
As a key member of the reception team, the successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work under pressure, and maintain a high level of accuracy. They will also have good IT skills, including Microsoft packages, and be confident in handling difficult conversations with patients and relatives.

Key Responsibilities:- Welcome patients to the department, ensuring accurate patient information and attendance recording
- Liaise with patients, wards, clinical staff, GPs, and Trust support staff via phone, email, or face-to-face
- Communicate effectively, promptly, and accurately, applying discretion and tact where necessary
- Provide timely information to visitors and respond to telephone calls as needed, adhering to Data Protection Act guidelines
- Previous experience in a healthcare or public setting
- Clerical/administration experience, including filing and/or reception
- Educated to GCSE, grade C or above (or equivalent) in English Language and Maths
£23,615 per annum, pro rata, based on 37.5 hours per week
