Right Now Recruitment is seeking a skilled Materials Technician to join our team in the construction industry. As a Materials Technician, you will be responsible for routine inspections, sampling, and testing of aggregate, recycled, and earthworks materials, concrete, and asphalt.
The ideal candidate will have experience in testing concrete, asphalt, or aggregates within the construction industry and be able to lead the production of compressive strength specimens. Additionally, you will take part in research and development projects, including particle size and density testing, and physical material trials.
Key responsibilities include:
- Routine inspections, sampling, and testing of materials
- Leading the production of compressive strength specimens
- Participating in research and development projects
Desirable qualifications include experience working in a test lab within construction, experience as a construction materials technician, laboratory technician, or site engineer, and knowledge of granular materials sampling, particle size distribution testing, and strength testing.
