We are recruiting for a skilled Nuclear Material Control Technician to join our Operations function at AWE in Reading, UK. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a team that ensures the safe handling and management of nuclear materials.

About the Job

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  1. Safely processing, moving, and storing nuclear materials in accordance with established procedures.
  2. Supporting the Accountable Nuclear Materials Inventory Holder in maintaining accurate inventory records.
  3. Maintaining high standards of environment, safety, health, security, and quality in daily operations.
  4. Operating and maintaining nuclear materials accountancy systems.
  5. Working flexible hours, including shifts if required.
  6. Demonstrating a strong educational background in mathematics and English (GCSE grade C/4 or equivalent).
  7. Having proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word and Excel.
Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • Extensive knowledge of inventory control, storage, handling, and movement of radioactive/hazardous materials.
