Main Responsibilities

As a Clinical Lead for our low secure inpatient service, you will be responsible for providing strong clinical leadership and ensuring evidence-based practice is delivered to improve the quality of care. You will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining standards of care that support safe high-quality practice throughout the 24-hour period in a low secure setting.

You will also be responsible for creating a nurturing learning environment that focuses on safe clinical practice and staff wellbeing. Additionally, you will demonstrate robust knowledge of clinical and environmental risk assessment and risk management in a forensic mental health setting.

Furthermore, you will use your exceptional skills in relevant clinical documentation, including HCR20's, Ministry of Justice reports, and care planning.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team at Kedleston Unit, a low secure inpatient service for males. The team delivers intensive, comprehensive, multidisciplinary treatments and care for patients who demonstrate disturbed behaviour in the context of a serious mental disorder and must be in a secure setting.

The Kedleston Unit team are members of the Royal College of Psychiatrists' Forensic Quality Network and are active members in peer service review and sharing of good practice through the network.
