About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Medical Secretary to join our busy Dermatology team at The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust. As a key member of our team, you will provide secretarial support to our consultants and junior medical staff, with a focus on audio typing and cross-cover responsibilities.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality secretarial support to our consultants and junior medical staff, including typing correspondence and managing diaries.
  • Liaise with the Team Leader to ensure departmental priorities are met and provide cross-cover for secretarial team during annual leave and sickness.
  • Manage consultant's diaries, book meetings, and take minutes where appropriate.
  • Arrange patients' new and follow-up appointments using the Patient Administration System (PAS) and liaise with appropriate departments.
  • Receive enquiries from patients and staff, resolving complex enquiries and dealing with them as appropriate.

  • Previous secretarial experience.
  • Typing test and interview.
