Structural Design Engineer Position

Job Summary

Expleo Group is a global engineering, technology, and consulting service provider partnering with leading organizations to guide them through business transformation and achieve operational excellence.

We are seeking a Structural Detail Design Engineer to carry out detailed engineering design activities, working closely with cross-functional teams on a range of projects. The ideal candidate will ensure that work complies with industry standards and regulations.

The successful candidate will deliver accurate technical drawings and specifications, identify and resolve design issues, and support the business in preparing technical reports and documents.

Responsibilities

  1. Creation of CAD Models and Drawings: Producing detailed 2D and 3D CAD models and drawings to meet required standards.
  2. Design Deliverables: Ensuring all design deliverables are completed accurately and on time.
  3. Liaise with colleagues and stakeholders during appropriate design phases to ensure coordination and functionality of design.
  4. Project Support: Contributing to and supporting the entire project and product design cycle, from concept to construction and installation.
  5. Technical Support: Providing technical support during the construction and installation phases.
  6. Assist with the maintenance and improvement in quality standards of outputs.

Requirements

  1. Familiarity with shipbuilding/ship repair terminology and practices.
  2. Proficient in the use of one or more parametric/spec driven CAD system both in a 3D & 2D environment, including FORAN.
