About the Role

The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Anaesthetist to join our team on a fixed-term basis. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of anaesthetic services in our Trust, particularly in trauma anaesthesia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality anaesthetic services to patients at Princess Alexandra Hospital, assuming responsibility for the patients within the catchment area in co-operation with Consultant colleagues in Anaesthetics and other clinical departments.
  • Share the case-load, facilities, and trainee grade support with existing consultants.
  • Lead developments in anaesthetic services, including trauma anaesthesia, in conjunction with existing consultants.

Requirements

  • Full registration with the GMC with licence to practise.
  • FRCA or equivalent/CCT (or equivalent) with entry on Specialist Register for Anaesthesia.
  • Experience in Ophthalmology Anaesthesia is an advantage.
