Support Assistant for Family with Autistic Child

We are seeking a caring and experienced support assistant to join our team as a parenting support specialist in Blakeney, Norfolk.
This is a unique opportunity to work closely with a family who require assistance in supporting their son with Autism. The successful candidate will be responsible for accompanying the child to sports activities, providing emotional support to the parents, and helping them build confidence in the local community.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with Autism, hold a valid driver's license, and possess excellent communication skills. A caring and considerate attitude is essential for this role, along with honesty, reliability, and a good sense of humor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accompany the child to sports activities and outings
- Provide emotional support to the parents and help them build confidence
- Assist with daily tasks and errands
Requirements:
- Experience working with children with Autism
- Valid driver's license and car insurance
- Caring and considerate attitude
- Honest and reliable
- Good sense of humor
Salary and Benefits:
- £15.00 per hour
- Up to 8 hours per week
- Tuesday and Friday afternoons/evenings
- 6-month probationary period
- Equivalent annual holiday entitlement
- Reimbursement for agreed expenses
