We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer to join our team as an Apprentice Structural Engineer. This role offers the opportunity to gain valuable experience in structural design, project management, and team collaboration.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality structural engineering services, including detailed design calculations, managing multiple projects, coordinating with contractors, and delivering solutions that meet client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct structural surveys, analyze problems, and provide recommendations for repairs or upgrades.
  2. Prepare designs and specifications for tenders, construction, and other stakeholders.
  3. Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of projects.
  4. Maintain accurate records and reports on project progress, issues, and outcomes.
  5. Develop and maintain knowledge of relevant industry standards, codes, and best practices.
  6. Work independently and collaboratively as part of a dynamic team.

Requirements:

  • Aiming for MIStructE/MICE Chartered membership within 2-3 years.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken).
  • A valid UK driving license.
  • Experience in structural design with common materials like concrete, steel, masonry, and timber.
  • Familiarity with software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Tekla Tedds, Structural Designer, and Masterseries.
  • Possess problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
