The Openwork Partnership is a dynamic, fast-paced organisation with a strong ambition. We're seeking a Strategic Business Growth Specialist to join our team and contribute to the success of our Partnerships at a firm and adviser level.
This role provides full autonomy and the opportunity to make a significant impact in the external marketplace. As a trusted representative of The Openwork Partnership, you'll be responsible for cultivating key conversations and relationships to drive business growth and performance.
About the Role:
- Be a skilled and trusted Openwork representative, building and maintaining strong relationships with our Partnerships.
- Provide consultancy and business development expertise to achieve growth according to targets and best practices.
- Develop relationships with key SMEs and lead initiatives to support the growth of our Partners to optimise client and market opportunities.
- Define, document, and agree business objectives and targets with Principals by diagnosing and addressing issues and opportunities relating to business development.
- Be a centre of knowledge and driving force for the Openwork proposition, process, systems, and digital platforms.
- Identify risks or warning signs and flag them for intervention.
Your Skills and Qualifications:
- Prior experience across B2B/intermediary relationships and a thorough understanding of distribution models in the Financial Services marketplace.
- Experience in supporting small and medium-size businesses with developing business plans and driving commerciality.
- A good working knowledge of investment, protection/insurance, mortgage, and pension products.
- Demonstrable knowledge of financial services distribution, issues facing owners of financial adviser businesses, commercial models, and relevant rules and legislation.
- Experience in addressing risk management issues through professional and challenging interactions.
- Previous knowledge and use of CRM/contact systems and/or other contact management tools.
- A general knowledge of financial advice regulation and ability to be fully conversant with the Openwork Suitable Advice Framework.
- A good understanding of how different business practices, operating models, and product propositions can benefit different types of businesses and their customers.
What We Offer:
- An estimated salary of £52,000 - £79,000 per annum, depending on your experience.
- A bonus scheme offering 20% on target.
- An annual car allowance of £4,236.
- A pension scheme where we match contributions up to 5% of your salary.

- Death in service providing 4x salary.
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, with the option to purchase up to an additional 10 days.
