Procurement and Contracts Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement and Contracts Specialist to join our team at DCT Recruitment. As a key member of our commercial department, you will play a crucial role in delivering successful projects within set budgets.
About the Role:
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quantity surveying, with 5+ years of experience in a similar role. You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of assistant quantity surveyors, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage internal procurement processes, including receiving and analysing quotations from subcontractors.
* Liaise with contracts managers and site agents to negotiate prices and availability.
* Deliver projects within set budgets, working closely with the commercial director to achieve this goal.
* Produce valuation claims and issue them to employers' agents and clients.
Requirements:
* A Quantity Surveying Degree or industry standard (RICS) qualification is essential.
* 5+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a construction or related industry.
* Excellent prioritisation and organisational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum.
