Environmental Sustainability Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Sustainability Specialist to join our team in Warrington, North of England. This contract opportunity offers a competitive daily rate of £385 per day.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our construction projects comply with environmental regulations and targets. This includes addressing key issues such as waste management and environmental impact.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure environmental regulations are complied with
  • Liaise with site teams, clients, stakeholders, and the wider environmental team
  • Manage legislative issues for clients, including planning permissions and consents
  • Conduct field surveys to establish a baseline for levels of pollution or contamination for a site
  • Interpret data and write detailed reports
  • Stay up-to-date with the most recent changes in environmental law
  • Communicate effectively with clients
  • Research site history and provide information for clients considering purchase
  • Create comprehensive waste management plans
  • Ensure biodiversity recommendations are met on site and protected species are undisturbed
Requirements

This role requires strong knowledge of environmental regulations and legislation. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
