About the Role

We are seeking a talented Quantity Surveyor to join our client's team in the Northwest, with opportunities for national growth. As a key member of the commercial team, you will be responsible for delivering projects within set budgets and ensuring that all contractual obligations are met.

You will have a strong background in quantity surveying, with at least 5 years of experience in a similar role. Your excellent client interfacing skills and experience in managing junior commercial staff will enable you to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day management of assistant quantity surveyors
  • Internal procurement process of subcontractors, including receiving and analysing quotations
  • Delivering projects within set budgets
  • Producing valuation claims and notifying employers agents & clients
  • Liaising with sub-contractors and consultants
  • Attending site progress meetings
  • Producing and sending enquiries to subcontractors
  • Notifying successful and unsuccessful subcontractors in a timely manner
  • Producing formal subcontract documents and certifying interim and final payments
  • Monitoring and controlling income and expenditure on contracts
  • Providing advice and support to the site team

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role
  • Good client interfacing skills and experience in managing junior commercial staff
  • Quantity Surveying Degree or industry standard (RICS)
  • Record of success in similar roles
  • Excellent prioritisation and organisational skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in PC operating systems (Word / Excel / Outlook / Cost X)
  • Full Driving Licence

Estimated Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience.
