Job Summary:
NJR Recruitment is seeking an experienced Merchandiser to join a leading importer in Greater Manchester. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for forecasting and sales analysis, liaising with factories and quality departments, and managing products to maximize availability and reduce discontinued exposure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Forecast and analyze sales data for assigned product ranges
- Liaise with factories and quality departments to ensure timely shipment dates
- Recognize and flag potential issues to senior management
- Manage product inventory and report potential issues to the manager
- Assist with range planning through ranking meetings
- Plan initial buys for new lines
- Manage product setup and factory information in the system
- Collate and manage potential discontinued products
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Merchandiser, preferably in a retailer or importer environment
- Knowledge of forecasting and report writing
- Excellent Microsoft Office and Excel skills
- Solid communication and articulation skills
- Ability to multitask
