At Teaching Personnel, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Autism Teaching Assistant to support students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in a reputable secondary school in Old Trafford.

This full-time position will commence in January and run until the end of the academic year (July 2025).

About the Role:
  • Provide one-on-one support to students with autism in the classroom setting, promoting their academic, social, and emotional growth.
  • Collaborate with teachers to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with autism, ensuring their unique needs are met.
  • Develop strategies to enhance students' communication skills and foster positive relationships with peers.
  • Contribute to creating a safe and inclusive learning environment, where all students feel valued and supported.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Prior experience working with individuals with autism is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based strategies and interventions for supporting students with autism.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Patience, empathy, and understanding towards students with diverse needs, ensuring their well-being and dignity are respected.
Competitive Salary:

We offer a competitive salary based on experience and qualifications, ranging from £25,000 - £30,000 per annum.
