Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated imaging specialist to join our team of experienced professionals at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust. As an Advanced Practitioner, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality clinical services and contributing to the development of our imaging department.

Main Responsibilities
  • Perform a full range of imaging examinations to a consistently high standard, ensuring compliance with imaging protocols and guidelines.
  • Teach and supervise radiographers, students, apprentices, and SPRs to ensure the development of a strong and flexible multidisciplinary team.
  • Assume responsibility for reporting own workload and accessing associated patient pathways, liaising with other staff and managing the day-to-day organization of the imaging department.
  • Provide high-quality clinical reports for inpatient, outpatient, and GP services, performing examinations and imaging in line with governmental and departmental protocols.
  • Be responsible for the operational supervision and management of allocated areas, assessing and managing workflow to utilize available resources and deliver a prompt, efficient, and effective service.
  • Participate in request validation, vetting, and justification in accordance with departmental protocols.
  • Check patient identification and documentation, ensuring the appropriate radiographic/imaging examinations are carried out in accordance with departmental protocols and clinical requests.
