We are seeking an experienced Radiographer to join our team as an Advanced Practitioner Radiographer. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, utilizing your skills and expertise to deliver high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Imaging and Reporting: Conduct a full range of imaging examinations, including plain film reporting, to a consistently high standard, ensuring compliance with imaging protocols.
- Teaching and Supervision: Teach and supervise radiographers, students, apprentices, and SPRs, providing guidance and support to ensure the development of their skills and knowledge.
- Operational Supervision: Be responsible for the operational supervision and management of the allocated area, assessing and managing workflow to utilize available resources to deliver prompt, efficient, and effective service.
- Quality Assurance: Participate in the departmental Quality Assurance programme to ensure the efficient operation of the highly technical equipment, and to ensure compliance with best practices, especially with reference to minimizing radiation exposures.
- Professional Development: Give theoretical instruction, practical guidance, and supervision to less experienced staff, Apprentices, Student Radiographers, and trainees, both Radiographic and Medical.
- Clinical Governance: Participate in Clinical Audit and Research, and participate in the investigation of complaints and untoward incidents.
- Education and Training: Participate in pre and postgraduate training of qualified staff where appropriate, and provide supervision to support staff as appropriate.
- Able to practise within the legal and ethical boundaries of their profession.
- Able to work, where appropriate, in partnership with other professionals, support staff, patients, clients, and their relatives.
