Job Description:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to join our team in Wakefield. The successful candidate will support the day-to-day operations of the HR function, working closely with the Head of HR to achieve business objectives.

About the Role:

This is a temporary opportunity with potential for permanent placement, offering the chance to gain valuable experience and develop your skills in HR administration, absence management, and recruitment reporting. You will also have opportunities for career advancement to HR Advisor level.

Responsibilities:

  • Full administration of employee lifecycle, including offer letters, contracts, and changes to terms & conditions
  • Leading absence management and recruitment reporting initiatives
  • Supporting payroll calculations and data collation
  • Administering the recruitment process, including adding new starters to the system
  • Maintaining accurate contractual & personal details in line with HR policies and processes

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will require excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You will also need to be proficient in HR systems and software.

Salary and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this position is £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience. You will also receive a competitive annual leave package of 21 days plus Bank Holidays, convenient free onsite car parking, and opportunities for career advancement to HR Advisor level.
