About the Role:
  • This position involves developing and implementing community capacity building projects that promote equitable quality of life for First Nations Australians with disability.
  • The successful applicant will work closely with regional stakeholders to enhance access and inclusion, while also promoting diversity, inclusion, and cultural awareness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement community capacity building projects to support people with disability.
  • Promote culturally appropriate services and provide support to those not eligible for the NDIS.
  • Collaborate with regional stakeholders to enhance access and inclusion.

About You:

  • You must identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.
  • Proven experience in community development and understanding of community capacity building is essential.
  • You should have exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills, along with great people skills and excellent written communication.
  • Lived experience or experience caring for someone with a disability is highly valued.
  • A current driver's license, or probationary license, with access to reliable transport is required.

  • A salary of $80,861 - $86,849 depending on qualifications and experience.
