About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Support Worker to join our team. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with learning disabilities to live fulfilling lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality support and care to individuals with learning disabilities, promoting their independence and well-being.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with service users, their families, and other professionals to ensure seamless support.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of individualised support plans, promoting person-centred approaches.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy environment for service users, adhering to health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure a high-quality service, continuously improving through effective communication and feedback.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a care or support setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with service users and their families.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritising tasks and managing time effectively.
  • Commitment to person-centred care and support, with a focus on promoting independence and well-being.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends, as required.
