Babcock International Group is seeking a Compliance Senior Task Planner to join our team at our Clyde, Faslane site. As a Compliance Senior Task Planner, you will play a critical role in assisting the Principal Engineer and General Manager in the coordination, evaluation, and prioritization of the Technical Compliance Authority (TCA) portfolio of tasks and requirements.

The Role

As a Compliance Senior Task Planner, you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting the Principal Engineer and General Manager in the coordination, evaluation, and prioritization of the TCA portfolio of tasks and requirements.
  • Considering key resource requirements and integrating and interacting with programs within areas of newly injected works and scheduled tasks.
  • Advising on potential bottlenecks and clashes and recommending solutions.
  • Ensuring the appropriate processes are adhered to while optimizing the program of works.
  • Health and Safety - Adhering to company Health and Safety policies and promoting safe working practices while planning the portfolio of tasks.
  • Task Planning - Establishing, maintaining, and controlling the task plan with input from key project stakeholders.
  • Task Controls - Identifying areas of risk within the plan and advising and supporting management of variances of risk.
  • Resource Control - Ensuring allocations and assignments are known by resource and smoothing where appropriate.
  • Take On - Providing input to weekly 'take on' meeting to advise on resource availability, risks to plan, etc.
  • Reporting - Providing reports for presentation to Senior Management and other key stakeholders as required.

This role is full time or part time, 37 hours per week, and provides hybrid working arrangements with 1/2 days in the office/onsite and 3/4 days working from home depending on business needs.

Essential Experience

  • Knowledge of planning processes and business applications.
  • Experience in creating plans from scratch, not just adapting plans.
  • Working experience with Primavera 6 or Microsoft Project.
  • People management experience is desirable.
  • Technical or Engineering background is desirable.
