About the Role:

Caval Limited is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Construction Manager to lead our £30m new build hospital extension project in South West London. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the site team and ensuring the successful completion of the project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Chair regular site meetings to discuss project progress and address any issues
  • Liaise with stakeholders and sub-contractors to ensure smooth project execution
  • Report and work closely with the Project Director to ensure project goals are met
  • Coordinate tasks among various construction phases to ensure timely completion
  • Handle any arising issues or conflicts throughout the project duration
  • Keep track of project expenditures and ensure they remain within budget constraints
  • Oversee workmanship and materials to verify they align with project standards
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations and policies during all work operations
  • Communicate regularly and effectively with clients to maintain strong relationships
  • Recognise possible threats to the project and implement strategies to address them
  • Monitor resources, such as equipment and materials, to ensure they are used efficiently
  • Provide guidance and support to project teams to ensure they are motivated and focused
  • Coordinate across multiple trades to uphold a smooth workflow and achieve timely completion
  • Manage daily site activities, overseeing the supervision of workers, sub-contractors, and suppliers
  • Create comprehensive project plans, encompassing schedules, resource allocation, and financial outlines
  • Serve as the main point of contact between project team, clients, and stakeholders, delivering frequent progress updates
  • Manage resources, such as materials, equipment, and labor, to ensure they are used efficiently and effectively
  • Keep accurate records of all aspects of the project, including contracts, permits, change orders, and correspondence
  • Organize and supervise inspections conducted by regulatory authorities, ensuring necessary corrections or adjustments are promptly addressed
  • Foster and sustain positive client relationships by addressing their concerns and ensuring their satisfaction with the project's progress

Caval Limited is a leading healthcare technology company with over 20 years of experience in the industry. We provide new modular medical spaces, mobile theatres, and building service installation/maintenance works to live clinical environments across the UK.

Requirements:

  • Strong history of working as a Site Manager or a similar position on new build projects in the healthcare sector with values in excess of £10m
  • Extensive background within the industry with at least 5 years of in-depth experience in managing construction teams across various sectors/projects
  • Professional qualifications, including SMSTS, First Aid, and CSCS Card
